Armenian-American Action Network Launches

by Staff

Armenian-American Action Network (AAAN), a platform for the next generation to build power and justice for communities using the tools of the digital age has launched. AAAN is a U.S. digital advocacy and storytelling platform of Armenian Americans, Armenian immigrants, refugees + allies fighting for social, economic, and global justice.

Armenian-American Action Network address the needs and issues of Armenian communities in the United States through effective advocacy, services, and research. Founded in December 2020, AAAN is fighting anti-Armenian racism in the United States and for Armenian-American civil rights.

AAAN is committed to dismantling anti-Armenian racism, educating our communities and allied communities, and building coalitional solidarity for justice across generations and organizations in the United States. We build joint struggle and grassroots power through advocacy, law, policy, research, culture-making, and community services. The mission and vision of the organization has been launched on the organization’s website.

“The time has come for us to address our issues in this country and to be effective at connecting our causes with others,” says AAAN Co-Director Suzie Abajian. “The United States will hear our action calls by bringing the grassroots into the advocacy space, and finally prioritizing the many issues of economic and social justice Armenians face in the U.S.”

Armenian-American Action Network is encouraging U.S. Armenians to sign up for the AAAN Action list on the website armenianamericanactionnetwork.org and to follow the conversation and join Armenian Action Network on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
